Scope of Work: Situated within the prestigious conservation area of Little Bolton in the heart of Chelsea, this project involved the complete transformation of a 1,900 sq ft duplex apartment into a refined contemporary residence of exceptional quality.
The scope of works included a full back-to-brick refurbishment with significant structural alterations, the construction of a new dormer conversion, and the installation of a traditional roof carefully designed to respect the character of the surrounding period architecture. Comprehensive mechanical and electrical installations were undertaken, incorporating a fully integrated lighting control system to enhance functionality, atmosphere, and energy efficiency throughout the property.
The internal layout was thoughtfully reconfigured to create elegant open-plan living spaces centred around a bespoke handcrafted kitchen. The specification featured custom timber windows, extensive bespoke joinery, luxurious marble bathrooms, and high-quality finishes that reflect meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Delivered within the constraints of a sensitive conservation setting, the project demonstrates a successful balance between traditional construction techniques and contemporary design. The works were completed in close collaboration with the design team led by Nicholas Dodd Architects, ensuring a cohesive vision and an outstanding final result.
